WaterSense Toilets and Faucets

If you are considering buying a new toilet or faucet, you may want to consider one that has WaterSense certification. This program is an initiative created by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2006 to encourage the consumer demand for water-efficient products and services. There are a number of WaterSense-qualified toilets and bathroom faucets available in the marketplace, as well as faucet accessories. In addition to WaterSense-qualified toilets, faucets, and accessories, you can find a variety of options on the Internet. WaterSense labeled products

Consumers can make a difference in the way water gets used by buying WaterSense labeled toilets and faucets. The EPA’s WaterSense program is a voluntary partnership that promotes water efficiency in the U.S. The label is a simple way to identify water saving products. Products that meet the WaterSense criteria use up to 20 percent less water than those without the label. Currently, more than 300 organizations and 60 manufacturers and distributors are WaterSense partners.

WaterSense certification

Using WaterSense certified toilets and faucets is a great way to cut back on water use in your home. These products have met strict criteria to be classified as “WaterSense Certified,” and can save up to 20% of the water used by standard counterparts. While the cost of water can vary by community, the EPA estimates that households can save up to 50,000 gallons of water per year using certified products.

Regulations

The federal government has recently released new regulations for toilets, faucets, and shower heads. These new standards are identical to those in NYS, but require different certification information. The requirements are designed to help homeowners choose water-efficient faucets and shower heads. The federal rules take effect on March 18, 2015.

Cost

The average cost of a new toilet is approximately $500, although the price can range from $75 to $8,265. There are many factors that can contribute to the cost, including the height, shape, and smart capabilities of a toilet. Additionally, the time it takes to install a new faucet or toilet can affect the cost. Many parts of the country are experiencing long delivery times, which can add to the overall price.

Styles

There are a variety of different styles and designs for toilets and faucets. You can choose between a one-piece, two-piece, or wall-mounting toilet. Most toilets have the same dimensions, but different styles will be available in specific colors. The style you choose will affect the height and style of your toilet bowl. Choose one that’s the right height to match your sink or vanity.

Finishes

Finishes for toilets and faucets can either be polished or brushed. These two finishes have many benefits, but they differ in the amount of maintenance required. Brushed nickel is a traditional color that doesn’t draw attention to itself and can match almost any decor. It’s also easy to clean. Although it’s more expensive than chrome and oil-rubbed bronze, brushed nickel can be a great choice for bathrooms. Whittier Plumber
